I'm Yoshihiko Asao, a graduate student at the Department of Linguistics, University at Buffalo.
My research interests include the morphology and lexical semantics of Japanese and Korean, as well as typology. More specifically, I'm interested in to what degree the basic properties of morphology can be explained in terms of functional and psycholinguistic factors. Corpus-based and computational techniques play significant roles in my studies.
I'm also having fun teaching Japanese. I have also worked on projects building language resources which help improve the language education.
